Gruml is a free RSS reader application for Mac OS X that allows you to read news feeds from your Google Reader account. It supports most if not all of the Google Reader functionality such as starred/liked items, shared items, organisation of feeds in folders, followers, search and posting items to social networking sites such as Twitter/Digg/Stumbleupon etc.

The application is laid out in a traditional three pane window arrangement with left hand pane showing folders, the top right pane showing the list of news items from the currently selected news feed/folder and the bottom right pane showing the content of the currently highlighted news item.

Articles of interest can be opened in a new tab by double clicking on the article title, this loads the original web page rather than the condensed RSS form that appears in the preview pane. Alternatively a right click context menu in the preview pane gives the option to Open the article in Safari.

The app is still in beta and the developers are keen for feedback on issues and ideas from their users, either visit the web site http://www.grumlapp.com or send an email to info@grumlapp.com

Calaboration is a simple application from the Google Code library that allows you to easily setup to link to your Google Calendars. Upon launch you are prompted to login to your Google account ( it supports Google Apps for Domains accounts ) after which you are presented with a list of the calendars associated with the account to select from.

Once selected the calendar will appear in iCal allowing not just easy review of Google calendars but also updates to be made.

Calaboration is NOT a sync app. Once it has been run you do not need to run it again. All the application does is setup iCal CalDAV to connect to your calendars.
