Come See Our New Creation Event – Jan 27th

applecreationI have purposely steered away from all the rumouring around Apples forthcoming announcement mainly due to the sheer volume of posts everywhere else, but today the rumours have gone some way to being confirmed after Apple sent out invites to an event on Jan 27th ( just 9 days away from today ).

The tagline of “Come see our latest creation” doesn’t really confirm the nature of the event but it is clear that the industry is very much behind the view that this one will finally, after a number of false starts, be the event where Apple show us what they think a tablet computer should look like.

Pastebot Supercharges iPhone Copy and Paste

pastebotsyncPastebot from Tapbots is a powerful and flexible clipboard manager for the iPhone that makes copying and pasting images and text between apps straightforward. Clippings are stored in a set of folders which can be kept indefinitely and which can be searched and retrieved very easily.

Images can be edited/cropped etc using the built in editing tools then either saved in clipboard, stored in the Photo library or emailed out.

Facecall for iPhone

FaceCallFacecall for iPhone is a clever app that uses Web clips to create an icon on your iPhone home screen that when launched will quick dial a selected entry in your address book. The icon defaults to the contact image from your address book but you can replace this with a picture from your photo library or snap an image using the iPhones camera if you prefer. The images can be adjusted before saving to ensure the person is easily recognisable.

You can create as many of these dialer icons as you wish effectively creating a quick dial contacts page on your iPhone.
