Here in the UK the pre-order of Snow Leopard appears to have been a major FAIL. Many Mac users like myself pre-ordered Snow Leopard through the Apple Store with the expectation of the new Leopard landing on our door mats first thing on Friday morning, but the majority like myself waited in all day for nothing !
According to other @MyAppleStuff it appears that Spanish Mac users were similarly disappointed. Many countries on the other hand seemed to have more luck, Twitter was alive yesterday with reports of early deliveries from Hong Kong, Australia, Europe and US.
What was your experience yesterday ? Did you risk pre-ordering and if so from which suppliers ? Was your order delivered yesterday ? Do you think that pre-orders SHOULD arrive on day of release ? Will you go to Apple Store to buy next time ( UKMac Will ! )

No joy here near lymington UK, quite dissapointed but waiting the Saturday delivery now. I did contemplate going to the apple store in southampton and just buying the disc anyway but will see what apears first. the machine is all prepped and ready to go. I mine it’s only a upgrade right, yea of coarse it is….leaves muttering to himself

No delivery here Friday or Saturday. If apple can get to stores on time they should be able to arrange post. They have had payment! No all of us can get to a store

I’m in the USA and ordered back in June when I got the $9.95 upgrade price because I purchased a new MacBook Pro. Mine was shipped friday on the release day. Still haven’t received it yet. Hopefully Monday.

Comment posts are finally working again. My Snow Leopard disk eventually arrived early on Saturday morning. So far I have upgraded MacBook and 20″ iMac, still got BigMac ( 24″ iMac ) to do.

Apple shipped my disc on Thursday, The PO failed to deliver next day – again! I received it Sat. morning. A crap postal service! Not Apples fault! Blame fat bastard Brown!

Being impatient I decided to hit the apple store and purchase another copy just because I wanted it installed before the weekend was up. I can’t believe how impatient I am.

Ordered last Wednesday, now Friday 4th and still now Snow Leopard. Is it Royal Mail or Apple to blame?

I bet you are pissed ! I am still getting reports of UK Mac Users who are yet to receive their pre-ordered disks. This is disgraceful and inexcusable !

Today is the 8th of September coming up to 2 weeks since snow leopard release… still waiting!!!!! Thank You apple and Royal Mail, whoevers fault it is (apple customer service blaming royal mail) it really is the worst kind of service.

Staggering that this has been SUCH a HUGE failure and yet not been that widely reported ? I guess some countries had a better service than others but still, 2 weeks for a pre-order that you expect to get on the day of release is a disgrace.
I do hope Apple have identified this as an issue and are not going to use the same distribution channel for their next big product release. I certainly will think twice about ordering online through Apple if I want product quickly in future.

I bought Snow Leopard with the pre-order as well .. still waiting as of September 11th!!
I am really disappointed in the speed, and priority, that pre-orders have been treated with. Pre-orders should most definitely be first in line.
HUGE disappointment! I will think before pre-ordering next time.
