• 24″ iMac now upgraded to 1TB drive… #
• New drive seems a little louder ( more of a low hum ) than old one, small price to pay I suppose for 900Gb of free disk space… #
• Should I have chosen a different make ? Drive is Samsung 7200rpm. POssibly not the quietest ? #
• @telfordmedia No it isnt humming it is more that I can hear it spinning whereas before I think the 320Gb drive was silent. #
• Bugger, just noticed on original drive there was a small piece os padding on underside that I didnt transfer to new one, wonder if thats it? #
• I am going to be compelled now to take out new drive and attach it to see if it makes any difference… Sod it #
• @Vinnie110 Yes previous drive is WD 7200 rpm, this one is also 7200RPM. #

• Finally got PXE Install of Ubuntu 9.04 started on Tosh M200 ! That was a game… #
• Never done a network install of Ubuntu ( or Linux ) before. Should be interesting #

• Ubunutu 9.04 quite nice, but still seems farfrom stable to me. VLC wont play video without crashing…. #

• Ubuntu on Tosh M200 unusable after wake from Suspend, SLOW… Have to logout/restart to get performance back. Any clues anyone ? #
