Its been a little while since I last saw a scare story about the “first REAL” virus for Mac OS X being in the wild, and this led me to wonder what anti-virus product UKMac.net readers typically used on their Macs ?

Download TV From BBC iPlayer On Your Mac

So far the BBC have failed to deliver on their promise to produce an OSX and Linux application for downloading content from their online TV site ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer ), so non-Windows users have to settle for live streaming in a web browser. Whilst this works fine it does mean that you need to have a reasonable broadband link AND be restricted to watching the limited amount of content that is available through the site ( shows are automatically removed after a few days ).

EU Ruling - Batteries MUST Be Easily Removable

According to this post on RegHardware the European Union is preparing to launch new guidance to electronics manufacturers regarding the use of internal batteries which could cause Apple some headaches, but if it goes through presumably will benefit consumers in the medium term.
