Appleinsider has a report covering an announcement from Samsung about their forthcoming 256Gb SSD drive, which is reportedly destined to find its way into next gen MacBook Air’s. This is a major development and this technology is going to become more and more significant in the development of small light and fast laptops. Currently most small laptops are crippled by low speed 1.8″ SATA drives and large capacity SSD drives will go a long way to improving the performance of next gen ultra-portables.
