UK Apple Store Being Updated ?

Apple - Back Soon Message
Just been to the Apple Store only to be told that it is down due to updates ?

Any ideas what is going on ?

UPDATE - Amended to include fact that I was looking at the UK store. Are other countries stores still available then ?
