UK Apple Stores to host Parallels demo’s during May
Apple Stores throughout the UK will be hosting Parallels events through May, giving visitors the chance to get hands on experience of the Desktop for Mac virtualisation tool for running Windows on Apple hardware.
Parallels representatives will visit nine stores nationwide, and take up residence in solutions bays in each one, to provide live demonstrations, answer questions and solve problems from existing or potential users.
Where is the Paint equivalent for Macs ?
I am not sure if I am being really dense but does anyone out there know of a good ( ideally free/cheap ) image editor for Macs ? Let me explain what I want to make it clearer.
My main requirement is for something to re-touch/edit small graphic images, typically screen grabs, in order to use on this and my other web sites. Typically this involves erasing small parts of a screen grab that I don’t want.
UK ISP’s start actively supporting Mac Users
Generally speaking most UK ISP’s do little if anything to support users who make the decision to go with Apple, though it looks as though the tide may be beginning to change. At the moment in most cases if you so much as mention that the problem you are having is related to a Mac you will be cut short and told that you are on your own
In a move that is surely a result of the increasing market share of Apple Plus.Net have recently completed training their entire support team on how to troubleshoot problems with Apple computers including connecting, email setup and configuration, browser problems and a range of common Mac related issues.. This is really good news for UK switchers who may have been put off making the move due to the apparent indifference of ISP’s towards the Mac community.
