According to AppleGazette.com
the latest rumour regarding the mysterious secret features of Leopard, the soon to be released major upgrade to Apples OS X, is a re-worked GUI code named Illuminous. Apparently the interface is continuing to be tweaked and latest builds released to employees this week are said to be sporting a new glossy black look.
To be honest if this is true I am more than a little concerned, mainly due to the fact that Microsofts newest OS, Vista, also sports a mostly glossy black user interface. Apple “copying” Microsofts lead in this way would not be a wise move in my opinion, they need to be leading and not following. Of course, as with many of these rumours, it could all turn out to be a red herring ? Time will tell.
