Latest Rumour on New Leopard Interface

12 December 2006 No Comment

OSX LeopardAccording to AppleGazette.comExternal Link the latest rumour regarding the mysterious secret features of Leopard, the soon to be released major upgrade to Apples OS X, is a re-worked GUI code named Illuminous. Apparently the interface is continuing to be tweaked and latest builds released to employees this week are said to be sporting a new glossy black look.

To be honest if this is true I am more than a little concerned, mainly due to the fact that Microsofts newest OS, Vista, also sports a mostly glossy black user interface. Apple “copying” Microsofts lead in this way would not be a wise move in my opinion, they need to be leading and not following. Of course, as with many of these rumours, it could all turn out to be a red herring ? Time will tell.
