Latest Rumour on New Leopard Interface

OSX LeopardAccording to AppleGazette.comExternal Link the latest rumour regarding the mysterious secret features of Leopard, the soon to be released major upgrade to Apples OS X, is a re-worked GUI code named Illuminous. Apparently the interface is continuing to be tweaked and latest builds released to employees this week are said to be sporting a new glossy black look.

To be honest if this is true I am more than a little concerned, mainly due to the fact that Microsofts newest OS, Vista, also sports a mostly glossy black user interface. Apple “copying” Microsofts lead in this way would not be a wise move in my opinion, they need to be leading and not following. Of course, as with many of these rumours, it could all turn out to be a red herring ? Time will tell.

Latest Parallels Release Brings Amazing New Features

ParallelsThis weekend Parallels released the latest update to Parallels Desktop for Mac, beta build 3036, and significantly raised the bar for anyone looking to follow in their footsteps ( VMWare ? ).

Build 3036 adds a long list of updates to an already capable product including a couple of real killer features, Coherency mode and the ability to run your Boot Camp install of OS X within a VM session.
